21 January 1989
Amended Rules and Regulations of the Singapore Watercolour Society
Approved by members at the Annual General Meeting.

10 March 1989
The Society hosted a dinner for Mr. And Mrs. Dong Kingman, an American artist.

26 – 30 April 1989
Exhibition by ten Malaysian Watercolourists
The Society sponsored this event
Held at the National Museum Art Gallery
The Society hosted a dinner for the Malaysian Watercolourists on the 29 April, at the China Restaurant.

20 June 1989
The Registry of Societies approved the amendments to the Rules and Regulations of the Society.

August 1989
“Contemporary Watercolours of Singapore ‘89” was published
Featuring works of 40 member artists

1989
5th Asia Watercolour Federation Exhibition
Held in Bangkok, Thailand.
18 members participated
Mr. Khor Ean Ghee and Mr. Loy Chye Chuan represented the Society in Bangkok.

1990
Asia Watercolour Exhibition
Organized by Tianjin Watercolour Society, China.
The Society participated.

Dec 1990
Mr. Ong Kim Seng, Vice-President, accepted as a member of the American Watercolour Society.
Mr. Ong Kim Seng, Vice- President, was also awarded the Cultural Medallion by the Ministry of Information and the Arts.

1991 Singapore Watercolour Society’s Annual Art Exhibition
Held at the National Museum Art Gallery.
104 paintings by 35 members were exhibited

10 August 1991
Exhibition by Mr. Ong Hua Peng, a Penang Artist
The Society sponsored this exhibition.

Slide Presentation of works and travels by Mr. Ong Kim Seng
Co-organized with the Federation of Art Societies (Singapore).

6th Asian Watercolour Exhibition in Osaka, Japan
10 selected paintings from members were exhibited.

Mr. Jeffery Goh was invited to be the Society’s P.R. Adviser in a fund raising project.

Approximately 200 visitors and pupils from the two AEP (Art Elective Programme) schools (CHIJ and NJC) attended.

SilkAir’s 1994 calendars
Silk Air Private Limited sponsored 12 members to visit and paint 12 of its Asian destinations.
Paintings were reproduced in the calendars.

Featured works by 51 member artists, 5 overseas artists namely Ms. Dale Meyers, Mr. Dong Kingman, Mr. Al Brouillette and Mr. Thurman Hewitt all from the U. S. A. and Mr. A. Wade and Ms. Louise Foletta from Australia and works by four of our late founding members Mr. Chen Cheong Swee, Mr. Lim Cheng Hoe, Mr. Sim Kwang Teck and Mr. Gog Sing Hooi.
