Title: A Window to Nostalgia
By Tia Kee Woon

"A dilapitated window offers a view of nostalgic beauty. From a traditional sewing mechine and a rack full of old books, we are brought back to the wholesome good old days."

Title: Festival Afternoon
By Chew Piak San

"This painting depicts an evening during the Moon Cake Festival where the smoke from the burning of incense and paper rises toward the Peranakan window. The window symbolises the living quarters of the Straits Chinese."

Title: London Street Scene
By Ng Woon Lam

I composed the picture with Greyish Blue as the dominant colour to express the cold weather. I made the street narrower to balance the negative space and the positive subject matters. I added some warm colours at diagonals to create space tension in the design. Both the figures and the pigoens create dynamic feelings against the cold static weather. "
