He started painting in 1967 and graduate from the Singapore Academy of Art. He has won numerous awards including the Special Award for a watercolour painting at the National Day Art Exhibition organized by Ministry of Culture, the Special award organized by the Nanyang Academy of Fine Art Alumni Association, the Commendation Award organized by the Ministry of Culture and United Overseas Bank Group, ‘Tan Tze Chor Art Scholarship Award”, the First Prize Award by the United Overseas Bank Group. His works had been exhibited in the ‘Singapore Artists Works Exhibition’ held in Paris, France; the 7th International Art Exhibition’ at Kaohsiung, Taiwan; ‘Artistes contemporains de Singpaore au Grand Palais’, Paris, France and numerous other exhibitions.
