Loy Chye Chuan is a founder member of the Singapore Watercolour Society and has held key positions in the Society's committee including the post of General Secretary from 1995 to 1996. He is also an Executive Committee Member of the Society of Chinese Artists.

In his illustrious art career he has participated in numerous art exhibitions locally and overseas and has won many awards locally including the First Prize in the "Art Sentosa" Competition in 1989 and the Merit Prize in the Singapore "Clean River" art competition in 1987

His works are in many private and corporate collections in Singapore and overseas.
